| The
Hammond Urban Enterprise Association illuminates
the city of Hammond with Dusk to Dawn Welcome
Lights. Any resident or business in the
city of Hammond may gain the comfort and
security of Welcome Light upon presentation
of a completed application. The HUEA accepts
application year around and installs the
lights as weather permits (suspending installation
during the winter months).
The
light operates with electricity and contains
a photocell that detects light. The photocell
shuts the light off when the sun rises
and turns the light on when the sun sets.
While HUEA will purchase and install the
lights, property owners and/or tenant
are responsible for the maintenance and
operating costs relative to the respective
private property.
